BlackBoard Collaborate will no longer be available or offered to campus effective August 31, 2015. Adobe Connect will be the new service for an online meeting tool. Adobe Connect is already available for use in the University of Arizona's online course management tool Desire2Learn (D2L) but currently is not available to campus until latter October 2015. More information will be available as the launch date approaches.

The University of Arizona will offer Adobe® Connect™, a web collaboration tool, to faculty and staff late this Fall 2015. Adobe® Connect™ will be the University's supported web conferencing application that provides the delivery of real-time course lectures and meetings. Connect provides a virtual environment for sharing presentations, images, and desktop applications with remote participants; it also offers audio and videoconferencing, text chat, a digital whiteboard, and polling. Effective July 2015, there is a sllight change on how to acquire MS Project from Software License. Download and install Microsoft's Project Professional license via the UA BookStores Campus Licensing page. You will then need a key to activate it. To get your license key, you will need to request it from the 24/7 IT Support Center any time of day or night via chat, over the phone, or by submitting a request form. Read More

Effective Wednesday, July 22, 2015 the UA Bookstores will no longer be offering Mathematica software for the Student Subscription license. The Student Discount is still available. Read More

The University of Arizona BookStores and the Office of the CIO have signed a one-year extension of the University’s Microsoft Campus Agreement (MCA), which provides free software for UA departmental servers, faculty, staff, and students. The new agreement, funded by the Office of the CIO and administered by UA BookStores, will be in effect July 1, 2015–June 30, 2016.
Under the new MCA, the faculty, staff, and server options remain similar to the initial agreement, however the student option has been modified, based on new offerings from Microsoft.
